i barely made it.
the mark was there, always there.
i try so hard to reach it but no i cant.
so hard till i just told myself to give up and leave it to God...
didn't He say His grace is always sufficient?

indeed it is.

but i ask myself this,
where is my obedience?

i cant answer. im too ashamed to even say sorry to God.
maybe all of us have been guilty of being a pharisee in certain areas, certain times of our lives.
i dont know about anyone else, but i have.
Remember the parable about the brother who wanted to remove another brother's speck in his eye, without realising the plank in his own?

gosh

i just realised... so often we tell our friends that anything can happen so we can't delay our decision for Christ...

but i've really missed the point.

more often than not, i have pushed anyway my individual responsibility to fulfil the commission as well.

i remember i was disturbed that my aunty used the word "brainwash" on me when i became a christian and i tell ya, hell broke out man.

now i know and im glad, at least the one who's washing my brain is a King who did not mind to be a servant. He first washed my feet, then my brain.

who else would have done that?

and see it another way, since the Garden days, life was meant to be perfect. but sin brainwashed this world. Jesus came to really wash it clean. Thank God He bothers to. Thank God He did not wait for another day to enjoy the riches of heaven and wait for people to burn incense to Him as an offering of sacrifice. Thank God He became the sacrifice.

Thank YOU for not being a kiao kah God. You're a heart-working shepherd who works hard each day so Your people can be more like You. You're beautiful and special.

talent for many things (sports, music, art).

the simple things. Like hanging out with

though the days of slack is drawing to a close, (soon enough)
the enthusiasm must not pass away! =)

spent my morning reading TIME featuring MM Lee and found myself admiring his determination for his vision. That's what we should be i feel. Seeing the vision and pursuing it, even at the cost of growing criticism. Nonetheless, it shouldnt be a case of an unthinking or unfeeling attitude towards criticism because we still need to be checked.

And I found that the difference between a hardliner and a credible leader is that the former blots out all dissents with tactics of fear and the latter, tactics of reason. and of course, credibility.

though critics enforce that MM Lee uses fear as well (and i happen to be one of those), I can only say I really dont think he used any of those as an abuse of his power. And the fruits of his vision are visible and tasty. But yes, i think it's time we learn to stand on our own feet and take on the world :)

and i read the interview with Spielberg. =) brought tears and sometimes, it's heartening to know that God plants people like these in different places so that they can make a difference to the world. Christians and non-christians alike.

but dont get me wrong, it's still very must a necessity to be in a relationship with Jesus. =)
and note, it's a need. it's not a "okay i'll get Him when i want to. or, when i think im ready for Him."

you know one of the things that was never promised to anyone is tomorrow. =)
